Cup Of Life

A group of working adults got together to visit their University lecturer. The lecturer was happy to see them. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

The Lecturer just smiled and went to the kitchen to get an assortment of cups - some porcelain, some in plastic, some in glass, some plain looking and some looked rather expensive and exquisite.

The Lecturer offered his former students the cups to get drinks for themselves.

When all the students had a cup in hand with water, the Lecturer spoke: "If you noticed, all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal that you only want the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all you wanted was water, not the cup, but we unconsciously went for the better cups."

"Just like in life, if Life is Water, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold/maintain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change."

"If we only concentrate on the cup, we won't have time to enjoy/taste
the water in it." -Mother Teresa
"

If we forget the enjoyment in walking your life path thinking about the destination, we can not enjoy your life.

Who has to Question ?

I was traveling in an Govt. Bus (we call it RTC Bus). RTC banned smoking in the Bus. Everybody traveling in the bus must have observed sometime or the other if anybody starts smoking, bus Ticket collector used to stop that guy, sometimes even scold him ....

This Rule is written just before the Bus Driver seat, so everybody sitting in the bus can see it.
What if the Driver smokes??? There was a big board which reads “Do not Smoke in the Bus",
Who cares, he is smoking as if he is the king of the bus. I realy missed a digi. cam.

Poor ticket collector he was just looking at this without saying a word...
I questioned myself, how would it be if i say to driver '' Don't smoke '. !!!

Who should stop hime. Should ticket collector or a fellow traveler ?

Excersise for mind

The muscle which undergoes excersise gets stronger. The same is true for the brain also.
hey you can consider brain also as a muscle.

If we don't use our brain .. it may get inactive .. Just like a bicysle. Somedays back i have started doing some kind of excersise to my brain.

Yesterday i have looked at the Towers of Honai Problem. It has some intersting position in my life.

First time in my Bachelors when i looked at that .. i thought its just yet another recursive problem and left it. Have n't tried my hands on it. We had some entrance for masters called GATE. When i saw this problem in Question Papers. I just left it.

yesterday i tried it ... tried some examples ... tried and got some answer ... But it was not working .. ;-(.

Recently i read a book " The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari ". The author keep on saying ..
You can not have the luxury of having a single negitive thought

Yeah thats right ...When i am thinking at that problem .. I had a sconday thought in mind.
It is telling me " go and see the book ". It had the solution.

But fortunatly i was able to contol that thought.. I tried ...

Again secondary thought .. Lets sleep ... Control it ...

Finally i was successful in that problem.

In " Think and Grow Rich ", Losers will left the problem just before its going to be a success, but if you try more , and try to move forward .. success will come. Thats the thin differece.

Thats the key to success. Persistence to the hard situation. That will be the time to show your charecter, how hard you can be.

Lets Go to the Cricket

In First innings everything is same England and Aussies both played equally. Its the second innings that made the differece. When Glen. Mc. Grath and Bret Lee are bowling, all the english players could not resist themselves and stay at the crease. All top order and middle order fell cheaply.

But if we look at the second innings of Aus. They showed the difference between the champion and the ordinary team.

The persistence to stay in tough time is the secret.

I don't know why

I am a huge fan of cricket, used to watch cricket. Without missing the india matches. Nowadays i am more interested in Ashes Series rather than India - srilanka matches.

I hope it may be the same with the other cricket followers ..;-)

Waiting for the 2nd Ashes test, But not waiting for yet another defeat by India ...

Some australian made a comment after the first test ... Kevin Peterson is the only English player who escaped from the aussie plot. Yes thats right he is the only successfull player
